Welcome!
What’s your story?
Google might have brought you to this website, but that’s a teeny, tiny part of your story. Where you live, what you studied, what you do–these fill in a few more details, but what about the bigger questions?
What do you dream about? What scares you? What do you believe about yourself–both good and bad–that you don’t dare voice to yourself or another person? What are your wounds and scars? How do you express love?
These are the questions that matter to me, and I love accompanying people as they explore their own answers and grow in their ability to tell–and craft–their own stories.
As a mental health professional, I have worked in variety of settings and supported clients from diverse backgrounds with diverse mental health concerns. My early experience included early intervention addictions treatment and work with a mobile crisis team that collaborated with local police to provide psychological support and stabilization in the community. Later, I worked with a D.C.-based nonprofit in migrant family case management.
In my current practice, I work primarily with individuals seeking help for OCD, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. Post-master’s degree training in evidence-based treatments for OCD and trauma have equipped me to provide effective treatment that supports lasting change and healing.
In addition to the areas of clinical focus mentioned above, I have a special interest in the intersection of faith and mental health. When I began my studies in counseling, I was intentional about choosing a degree program that would equip me to provide strong, evidence-based treatment that could also respond to the spiritual needs of clients.
When desired by a client, I incorporate interventions that draw on the strengths and gifts of a client’s faith. I also enjoy collaborating with faith leaders, as can be helpful with cases of religious scrupulosity or mental health issues that interfere with the practice of a client’s faith. Recognizing that faith communities can be sources of pain and abuse, I also to support clients seeking healing from religious trauma.
If you’re ready to tell your story, I’m here to listen. Counseling can help you write a new chapter that authentically expresses your values and identity.
